For Friday’s Conversion Day celebration, Kevin and I opened a very special bottle of wine. So special it is 36 years old!
The story behind the wine is that Kevin’s parents bought of case of one of their favorite wines that was made the year Kevin was born. They gave the case to Kevin so he can drink the bottles on special occasions. We decided that Conversion Day qualified! Since the wine is pretty old, we prepared ourselves for vinegar… but surprisingly it was great! The cork was still perfectly intact and the wine aged really nicely. It was a great treat to add to our duck a l’orange dinner!
