Oh, Paul - I am a geek for you.
I know my day is off to an excellent start when I see a nice little note from Paul in my inbox…
Okay, no, I am not completely stupid, I know that it is a listserv, but whatever, I take what I can get. I love me some Paul!
After the excitement of seeing Paul’s name in my inbox let up just a little…I started thinking about what a geek I am for Paul. Here is a quick list of some of my McCartney Geekdom traits:
1. Visiting his Liverpool childhood house in June was like visiting my own personal Mecca (see visual below).
2. I have a Starbucks gift card with Paul on the front (see visual below) that I constantly refill and use over and over again. Each time I get a coffee I tell the barista “This one’s on Paul!” in an English accent. And, each time the barista gives me a sympathy laugh and a ‘you’re annoying’ look along with it.
3. Paul is on my “freebie” list. Aka: the list of celebs you can have a fling with and your significant other can’t get mad.
4. When I saw Paul in concert a couple years ago, I recall thinking “this is the highlight of my entire life.”
5. I might assault Heather Mills if I ever run into her in a dark alley.
