Good Morning Waikiki!
The view from my walk this morning.
I used to be anti-Waikiki. I thought it was too touristy, too busy, too materialistic, blah, blah. This morning I realized just how much I like it. The beach is ridiculously pristine, especially for being alongside a large metropolis. There is a certain energy about this area too. At any hour, you can come down to the beach and there will be a handful of surfers in the water. This morning I woke up at 5 am, thanks to an allergy attack, stepped out on my balcony to get some fresh air and noticed tons of surfers already out enjoying the waves. Waikiki has an energy that is part city, part vacation, part athletic, part local and part tourist. I really love it.
