Book Report…

Last night I finished “Once You’re Lucky, Twice You’re Good” – it’s no secret, I LOVED it!  The non-fiction book which read like a novel featured characters of the Silicon Valley entrepreneur and venture capital scene such as Max Levchin (of Paypal & Slide), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Kevin Rose (Digg & Pownce) and March Andreesen (Netscape & Ning) among many others.  The book started by giving the background of the dot com bubble burst in 2001 and then told the story of the new wave of nontrepreneurs turned entrepreneurs and how they all got their start and brought their Web 2.0 companies to where they are today. It was also interesting to see that the entrepreneur stars of Web 2.0 are all being mentored by entrepreneurs from the previous dot com generation who went through the bubble burst – giving these new entrepreneurs an edge and insight into what not to do.

This book was so great, and it will make you have a crazy crush on Kevin Rose.  Oh… maybe that’s just me.
