What a difference a year makes!
Tonight the girls and I went to the Indigo Girls concert at the zoo… our annual tradition. I’ve gone the last three years, Jamie has the record with going the last 4 years. We just love that lesbian duo!
We kept laughing at how different this year’s concert was than last year’s. Last year it was maybe 45 degrees in mid-June for the concert. Last year it was rainy, and we all were bundled up in ski jackets, gloves and Jamie brought us hand warmers to keep us toasty. Tonight, it was around 80 degrees, we were in sundresses and sunglasses and we sat in the sun and were sweating like crazy.
Each year my favorite part is when they sing “Closer to Fine” and the whole crowd gets up to dance and sing along. Brandi Carlisle also made a surprise appearance for the second year in a row - it was fabulous!
