Cold Calling for Dates - Wierd?
So an odd situation happened to me yesterday, at least I thought it was odd. I need some feedback.
I got a phone call - at work - from a random guy that I met last week at a networking function. Apparently he thought we ‘hit it off’ (I disagree, I couldn’t remember who he was) and called me - at work - to ask me out. Being an incredibly awkward person already, I got really uncomfortable. AND, since he was calling me as I sat at my desk at work, it was even more uncomfortable. In any case, I politely declined his offer.
I guess in this situation I would have preferred an email that I could have ‘accidentally’ deleted, but maybe that is just my passive nature.
I give the guy credit for having confidence, but don’t you think cold calling (okay maybe lukewarm calling) at work for a date is a little odd? Is it just me?
