After my last post, I got to thinking about which Beatles song I’d be most excited to play on RockBand - definitely “Get Back.”
This video is my favorite version of the song. This video is of the last songs of the last time the Beatles ever performed together: in an impromptu concert on a rooftop in Central London in front of a few friends and the record company employees. Shortly after they started playing mobs started forming of people who heard them and gathered in the street to listen.
The police broke up the concert due to the mobs and noise complaints from the neighboring business owners. The last song they played was “Get Back” and then John said another one of his famous lines “I’d like to say thank you on behalf of the group and I hope we passed the audition.”
Sarah and I got to visit this building where they did their last concert and it was amazing! We both seriously got emotional!
