Mind the Gap! We’re here.
So we made it. Mom - you can stop worrying now. :) After a long night/day of plane rides, underground rides, and a taxi ride (in the cutest little English cab) we finally made it to our hotel! The check-in process was a little unorganized which let to the front desk person giving us keys that didn’t work, not once, not twice but THREE times. I did a little complaining and scored us some free room service dinner. Brian/Lauri would have been proud! And anything free here is fabulous considering this is probably the most expensive place on earth! I am in intense sticker shock over everything and we’ve only been here a few hours. London’s city motto must be ‘no pound left behind.’
We were feeling pretty happy after we washed up, cuddled into our beds with our free dinner and just happened to catch a Paul McCartney concert on tv, what a great way to start off the the trip.
And yes, I ended up bringing the computer. With wi-fi at the first couple hotels I just couldn’t resist! I am so weak.
