-Lake Tahoe is 6,336 feet above sea level.
-Lake Tahoe is the 3rd deepest lake in N. America.
-Lake Tahoe contains enough water to cover the entire state of California in 14 inches of water.
-Lake Tahoe is 99.9% pure, the same as distilled water.
-Lake Tahoe is so clear that if you lowered a dinner plate into the lake, you could see it for 75 feet below the surface. However, Lake Tahoe’s clarity is diminishing at an average rate of 1 foot per year due to pollution and sediment. So next year you’ll only see that dinner plate 74 feet below the surface.
