“This wedding should be featured in a style magazine.”
Overheard at Lyndsy and Elon’s wedding. And, is that comment absolutely correct!
First of all, Lyndsy and Elon are just an absolutely beautiful couple inside and out. Both outrageously outgoing, hilarious and magnetizing. This is the couple that you just want to be around, at least that is how I always felt throughout college. Second, the wedding venue they chose, Racho del Cielo sits on the cliffs of Malibu overlooking the Pacific. Everywhere you turn there are gorgeous views of the blue ocean in the distance. Yet the venue was not stuffy or pretentious, very quaint and comfortable.
The details of the wedding were flawless as well. Lyndsy chose yellow and pink as her colors and a theme of pink flowers and lemons. Such a fun and creative theme that fit the venue so well, and the theme was evident in every detail.
The music was also perfect. The bridal party walked down the aisle to Pachebel’s Canon in D, Beach Boy’s “God Only Knows” (which made me tear up RIGHT away!) and IZ’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” During drinks and dinner, the soundtrack contained an array of Simon & Garfunkel, James Taylor, Beach Boys, and the Beatles - basically every one of my favorite bands and songs was played.
The ceremony was also creative and uniquely Lyndsy & Elon. It was funny, cute and full of love with funny ‘pre-vows’ such as “I, Elon, promise to stroll down the aisles of Target with Lyndsy and never complain…” Lyndsy was so cute during the ceremony bouncing up and down the whole time and beaming. Love that couple!
