Ever heard of the Clover coffee maker?  Yeah, neither had I.That said, it is strange that today I found myself walking about 10 blocks from work to have a coffee at the one of only three Starbucks who have the Clover (which costs $11,000 btw).   I went with co-worker Bryan, who’s brother works for Starbucks in Arizona and considers coming to this Starbucks location at 6th & Union, which has the Clover, pretty close to his personal Mecca.  He just couldn’t wait to get a cup of coffee from the Clover. When we requested coffee from the Clover the barista said “You must work at Starbucks.”The Clover, again, is a $11,000 machine that brews ’superior’ drip coffee one cup at a time.  The unfortunate barista took at least 4 minutes per drip coffee to produce.  Everyone claimed that they could taste a difference, unfortunately - it tasted the same to me…  Such a bad Seattleite! For more on the Clover (which Starbucks recently acquired the whole company) click here: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/26/dining/26starbucks.html.
