How very timely that I find this video “A Day in the Life of Abbey Road” today as lately I’ve been thinking a lot about last year’s Beatles-Mania trip to London/Liverpool.

It is also very timely as on my Chumby I have an Abbey Road webcam widget (yes - Abbey Road does have a webcam, and yes - it is a widget on Chumby, and yes - I have it) and this morning’s webcam shot was particularly funny. While I was getting ready I glanced at Abbey Road on my Chumby to see literally ten people lining up across the crosswalk holding hands and taking a picture.  I immediately cracked up and relayed the clip to Kevin.

It is always fun to watch the ridiculous tourists doing the Beatles ‘walk’ across the crosswalk.  I remember when Sarah and I were there and feeling SO embarrassed to do the walk but knowing we couldn’t leave without doing it, and of course snapping a picture of it.   I started thinking about how many people must do absurd poses just like that each day, and thought back to when we were there and this Japanese man went BACK and FORTH maybe six times with his wife across the street trying to get that perfect shot.  Sarah and I were dying laughing - but of course annoyed because we wanted OUR turn!

So this video was particularly perfect to come across today as just this morning wishing for a compilation exactly like this!

P.S. Check out the dude who pulls down his pants at 1:35!
