I just saw this adorable TeaSub today on Cup of Jo (one of my fave blogs) and knew I had to have it!  I am a sucker for anything Beatles related, and especially on today - the 41st anniversary of the Beatles’ famous last performance on a London rooftop.

Speaking of, I am so excited to head down to Pike Place and watch Creme Tangerine (my fave Beatles cover-band) perform to celebrate the anniversary!  We had such a great time last year, and I am so excited to do it again!

Here it is, our Krevino wine label!  I’ve gotten in to painting lately, so I took part of my latest painting and used it for the label. I am so excited to see that Krevino wine all bottled up!

Anyone seen Nights in RodantheI did. While the movie wasn’t great, I of course cried like crazy (damn you Nicholas Sparks!)

The house featured was the coolest aspect of the movie - it is a huge, kinda creepy, old house right on the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  The house is as ocean front as you can get, and after the last few hurricanes that hit the Outer Banks, it was basically IN the ocean…

So, the owners of the house were forced to move the house.  Check out the video above of the move - pretty fascinating to see a huge house like that rolling down the street!  Here’s a nice re-cap too.

Krevin’s Blend is Born…

Krevin (Kris & Kevin) is proud to announce that we officially have our own wine - Krevino!  Awesome name, right?  And yes, I did already buy the url. :)

For Christmas, Kevin got me this great kit that enables you to blend your own wine and then order a case of it!  The kit comes with everything you need to make your own custom blend, specifically to your tastes.  On Friday night we got together with a couple of our wine connoisseur friends to make our custom blend, Krevino.

The table is set with our blending wine, glasses, our tasting note cards, and of course lots of cheese…

Blending Krevino!

Photobucket

At the end of the night, we came up with our perfect Krevino blend.  It was really amazing to get a little insight into the wine making process.  Changing the blend by just 1 ml really does make a difference, we definitely respected the whole blending process a lot more!  Next we get to design our label for our custom wine - updates to come!

Above is the wine-making kit we used, Fusebox by Crushpad - super cool product and fantastic present (thanks Kevin!!).

Mexico Recap…

I’m finally getting around to going through pictures from our Mexican vacation we took a couple weeks ago.  We had such a great time! The weather didn’t always cooperate for us - but when you’re in Mexico at all inclusive resorts does it really matter?!

The first three days of our trip was spent in Cancun. We stayed at a resort in the bustling and touristy hotel zone.  This was our great view from our room of the lagoon and ocean…

Photobucket

The lagoon in the hotel was home to six dolphins. Each morning we woke up to see these guys splashing around and performing tricks with guests…

Photobucket

From Cancun, we rented a car and headed to Chichen Itza and made it just in time for the nightly light show at the ruins…

Photobucket

Our hotel at Chichen Itza was amazing, you could see ruins from our hallway!

Photobucket

We also loved the feel of the hotel, it was a Spanish/Moroccan theme and included lots of nature around the grounds - like peacocks just roaming around begging for a little bite of your taco…

Photobucket

We had a great time exploring the ruins at Chichen Itza with our fantastic tour guide Jorge, who was happy to also be our personal photag…

Photobucket

We left Chichen Itza to drive to Playa del Carmen, and stopped at a gorgeous cenote in Dzitnup along the way…

Photobucket

Playa del Carmen was a zoo!  I’ve never seen a beach so crowded at all hours, there were always multiple huge beach parties going on…

Photobucket

After spending New Year’s in Playa del Carmen, we headed out to Cozumel on a very, very rocky ferry.  The ferry ride was quite treacherous, but we were rewarded with our gorgeous room in Cozumel complete with a swim-up terrace…

Photobucket

We ventured around the main town in Cozumel, San Miguel, and took lots of cheesy tourist pictures…

Photobucket

We even went for a paraglide ride!  The view of the crystal clear water around Cozumel was amazing…

Photobucket

We enjoyed snorkeling with lots of fish right off the hotel’s dock!  When we saw this stingray, we decided it was time to get out of the water and watch him safely from the dock…

Photobucket

After our unpleasant ferry ride to Cozumel, we opted to take a cute little plane back to Cancun instead of trying the ferry again. The plane only held about 20 people and looked liked a flying minivan!  I loved the view as we left Cozumel…

Happy {belated} New Year!
After spending Christmas home in Walla Walla, we set off to warmer climates to kick off 2010.  We spent New Year’s Eve in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and had a fantastic dinner followed by a night out on the town.
I hope your New Year’s was fabulous!

Sippers!

Photobucket

Have you been to Sip yet?  If you haven’t been I highly recommend it.  It is a new wine bar/restaurant located across from the beautiful Seattle Central Library on 5th and Madison downtown.

We headed there on Thursday to enjoy some sippers and dinner with a couple from work.  It was fantastic!  Great food, fabulous wine selection, live music, gorgeous space.  To top it off, Thursday is “Ladies Night” and we got half-price wine flights!  What a deal - and as you can see, their wine ‘flights’ are more like full pours - yowza!

Christmas Fever!

Guess what?  I’ve got a fever, and the only prescription is MORE CHRISTMAS!

In light of my Christmas fever, Kevin and I devoted an entire day to things all Christmas…

In the beginning of the day on Sunday we volunteered for the Forgotten Children’s Fund by wrapping Christmas presents at Pacific Place.  We got to wear santa hats, which was a huge plus in my book! Btw’s… If you need gift wrapping, go get your presents wrapped there - it is quick, easy and all proceeds go to a great cause!  Located just outside Barnes & Noble in Pacific Place.

Photobucket

Next we ventured out downtown to finish up Christmas shopping.  Yep, that’s right - we FINISHED!  Unbelievable, I can’t believe the efficiency in which we got all the shopping done.

In the evening, we had tickets to see White Christmas.  So naturally, I dressed up in Christmas themed attire, duh!

I’m a really lucky girl… I’ve already gotten my 2nd Christmas gift and it is only December 8th. :)
When I came home from work yesterday Kevin had stuck these perfect little MittenBerry gloves in my stocking.  I think he intended on waiting until Christmas to give them to me, but it’s been 20-30 degrees in Seattle and coincidentally yesterday I complained about the horrible combination of gloves and iPhones.  So it just seemed too perfect that the MittenBerries came in the mail yesterday!
If you’re looking for a perfect gift for that friend that can never stop emailing/texting/tweeting - even in the freezing cold - look no further!
