What I've been up too...
I’ve been failing to update my little blog lately with all the things I’ve been up to. Most of the reason is not having my camera this week since I left it in New York. I do have Kevin’s camera but I just am too scared to bring it with me anywhere. If I accidentally drop my own camera in the water, that’s one thing. If I drop Kevin’s camera, that is quite another....
Je t'aime New York...
Kevin and I had the most fabulous time in New York over the weekend. We ate ridiculously well, shopped on 5th Avenue, wandered through Central Park, saw an incredible off-Broadway show, enjoyed some adult beverages at some hidden bars, among lots of other cute New Yorky activities.
I am so excited to share everything with you… but I accidentlally left my camera in Kevin’s pocket back...
After dinner at Pure, we walked a few blocks to the Daryl Roth Theater where Fuerza Bruta was playing. Kevin had seen the group’s last production, De La Guarda, a few years ago and loved it - so we couldn’t wait to see their current production. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Part Cirque du Soleil, part Waterworld, part trapeze show. The audience stands up during...
Kevin’s birthday dinner in New York!
For his birthday dinner, Kevin picked Pure Food & Wine, a raw vegan restaurant in Gramercy Park. I know what you’re thinking… raw vegan food are you effing crazy?? Kevin and I love trying new vegan and vegetarian restaurants - but have never tried a raw restaurant. Since Seattle has a lack of raw foodrestaurants we thought we’d...
Mad Men Dress-up Contest?! →
Wow, just after I wrote my last post and started reading some Mad Men gossip, I came across this news - submit a photo of yourself in your best ‘Mad Men’ style outfit and you can win a walk-on role on the show! OMFG.
Wow, this kid was KILLING me at the Bastille day festival yesterday. His dance moves were even crazier than anything I am capable of (and that is saying quite a lot!).
At first, the little girl was trying to dance with him and he was NOT having it. He yells “STOP!!!” and goes solo with some ridiculously cool moves including lots of quick feet and some Flashdance-style steps. I...
I'm going to New York!
And… I am really excited about it. This is a last minute trip - but last minute trips happen to be my favorite! Kevin will be in New York for two weeks this month for training. And it just so happens that his birthday falls on the weekend between the two weeks he is there - so what better way to celebrate his birthday then to go out to New York and celebrate there?! It is like a present...
Girls Night In
bigsare:
On Friday, Heidi invited us over to her place to spend the night. Amazingly, Becki, Kris and I were all available! It was so fun to finally meet baby Gavin and hang out with baby Carson. Heids made her famous mac and cheese and homemade ice cream sandwhiches. I think it has been years since we all got to hang out together without boys. We sipped on white wine and talked about...
After sipping on my favorite champagne, Perrier Jouet, and having my favorite cheese, Humboldt Fog - Kevin took me out to Pink Door for a great birthday dinner. In the middle of dinner a trapeze artist stepped up on the chair next to us and started performing right above us. Casual!
